Biden ramps up US navy deployments throughout Europe

President Joe Biden is ramping up U.S. navy deployments throughout Europe in the coming months, the White Dwelling announced Wednesday.

According to a White House actuality sheet, Biden has purchased further bases, troopers or assets to be established up in Poland, Romania, the U.K. and the Baltics. Poland will obtain a permanent headquarters for the U.S. 5th Army Corps two extra F-35 squadrons are getting sent to the U.K., and Romania and the Baltics will see increased rotational deployments.

The U.S. is also positioning an air defense artillery brigade and shorter-vary air defense battalion in Germany. Italy will also acquire a short-array air defense battery. The two deployments overall 625 and 65 personnel, respectively.

The U.S. also says it is doing work with Spain to enhance the selection of destroyer warships stationed at its Rota port from four to 6.
