Stolen Olympic gold medal discovered in southern California

A stolen Olympic gold medal belonging to a member of the 2020 U.S. Women’s Volleyball Team has been found in Southern California, authorities stated Wednesday.

Jordyn Poulter claimed the medal stolen May 25 immediately after the Olympian discovered her vehicle broken into at a parking garage in Anaheim, police reported.

Detectives afterwards arrested a suspect in the theft, but were not quickly equipped to locate the lacking medal.

The 31-yr-outdated suspect is billed with household theft, auto theft, identity theft and possession of narcotics, officers explained earlier this month.

The suspect, an Anaheim resident, has a "prolonged prison history," a law enforcement statement said.
