Virginia firefighter, mom of two dies whilst teaching swift water rescue system

A Virginia firefighter and mother of two boys died on Saturday when she "experienced a catastrophic incident" in the course of a swift drinking water rescue coaching, in accordance to officers. 

Alicia Monahan, 41, was instructing the course in the North Carolina mountains when she tragically passed away. It wasn't quickly obvious how the accident happened. 

Monahan was an 11-yr veteran of the Chesterfield County Fireplace Section and leaves powering her fiancée and two sons.

Swift h2o rescue is a specialised self-control that trains rescuers to navigate conditions in normal bodies of water and flood environments, according to the Countrywide Parks Assistance.
