A 16-year-aged in Philadelphia died in a hail of gunfire late Monday night time in what law enforcement say was perhaps a shootout involving rival teams.

Officers uncovered the teenager, Shawn Grant, lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his side, upper body, back again and legs, according to regional media. The shooting reportedly took spot at roughly 11:30 p.m., and Grant was rushed to the medical center but declared lifeless at 11:45 p.m.

Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Modest declared that 63 shell casings ended up recovered on the scene.

Law enforcement say Grant and his friend have been returning to the friend's household from a nearby store when the capturing happened.
