Air Pressure calls on F-35 aircraft to stand down temporarily above defective ejection seat fears

The U.S. Air Drive on Friday confirmed to G3 Box News that it experienced temporarily identified as in its F-35 Lightning II fleet following issues connected to defective ejection seats.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Air Combat Command models will execute a stand-down on July 29 to expedite the inspection system," ACC reported in a statement to G3 Box News Electronic. 

"Dependent on knowledge gathered from individuals inspections, ACC will make a perseverance to resume operations."

The force’s Air Education and learning and Teaching Command (AETC) also identified as in its T-6 and T-38 plane.

"AETC was informed by Air Force Content Command that portions of our trainer fleet might be impacted by top quality flaws in the manufacture of explosive cartridges utilised in the escape programs," the command stated in a assertion. "At this time, we suspect that approximately 203 T-38 and 76 T-6 aircraft could be afflicted by this issue."

The Air Drive explained it experienced requested an inspection final week for the fleet’s ejection seats within the subsequent 90 days.

It is unclear how several of the Air Force's 347 F-35 Lightning II have been briefly termed for inspection and possible repairs, but about 40% of the T-38 fleet and 15% of the T-6 fleet will continue being grounded right up until the concern is settled, AETC mentioned.

Unaffected aircraft were in a position to resume traveling Thursday.

The announcement will come as the U.S. is attempting to beef up its defenses across Europe amid Russian President Vladimir Putin’s deadly war in Ukraine.

Neither the Navy nor the Marines have grounded their F-35 fleets, Defense News claimed.
