Democratic Rep. Garcia lashes out at Twitter user with profanity, offensive time period

Democratic Rep. Chuy García posted a profane reaction to an nameless Twitter person who spoke of disregarding new gun management guidelines.

The Residence of Representatives voted to go an assault weapons ban Friday evening, with legislators narrowly approving the bill by a 217-213 vote. The legislation will now head to the Senate, exactly where it can be unlikely to break the filibuster.

"Final evening a member of Congressman García's staff posted an unauthorized tweet from the Congressman's account employing profanities and offensive language to people today residing with disabilities," his office explained in a statement Saturday early morning. "The language utilized was certainly inappropriate and inconsistent with Congressman Garcia's record, values, and character. The personal accountable will be held accountable and acceptable disciplinary action will be taken."
