Pauw claimed in her assertion that she had described the incidents on 5 different situations and finally claimed the assaults to the Dutch police following "failing to get a satisfactory response."

The coach was not named in both the report or Pauw’s statement but when questioned by the newspaper more than the allegations, the coach claimed he was "shocked by the allegation" and denied that a rape took place."
