Jan. 6 committee subpoenas Magic formula Provider above texts allegedly deleted subsequent Capitol attack

The Dwelling committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot subpoenaed the Solution Assistance Friday evening for textual content messages allegedly erased from all-around the day of the attack.

The panel sent its letter to USSS Director James Murray, who is scheduled to retire at the stop of the month.

The committee originally requested for the data in mid-January in advance of earning an official ask for two months later on for all communications involving DHS employees among Jan. 5 and Jan. 7, 2021.

Guglielmi said the Solution Support had started resetting its equipment to manufacturing facility configurations in January 2021 "as section of a pre-planned, 3-month program migration." He said some data were being missing during this system, but that all asked for information were being sent.

The spokesman explained that the inspector typical initially sought the texts in late February "after the migration was perfectly underneath way." He mentioned none of the asked for texts were being dropped in the migration.
