Much more shark sightings close East Coastline Seashores

Much more beach locations had been shut alongside the East Coastline around the weekend soon after a string of shark sightings.

Shark sightings temporarily shuttered New York's Lido Beach front and Rockaway Seaside, in accordance to WABC. 

The station stated red flags have been raised for several hours on Sunday afternoon to indicate that swimming was not permitted.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul purchased condition agencies to improve surveillance off Prolonged Island, together with the use of drone and helicopter checking.

Lifeguard staffing will be enhanced by 25% and Park Police patrol boats and New York Condition Police helicopter patrols will search ocean waters.

Gavin Naylor, of the Florida Museum of Purely natural History’s Global Shark Assault File (ISAF), mentioned that new encounters with the predators off Extensive Island may perhaps be thanks to an enhance of bait fish in shallow waters. 

He observed that sand tiger sharks have been nursing in large numbers off Jones Seaside.

In 2016, scientists with the Wildlife Conservation Society's New York Aquarium announced the discovery of a sand tiger shark nursery off the southern Extensive Island coastline.

In Florida, WESH2 noted that a 40-12 months-outdated Ohio woman was bitten by a shark in Volusia County on Saturday. There have been 17 shark bites recorded last year in the county, recognised as the "shark bite money of the world."
