Protesters against Russia in Warsaw: It is a terrorist state!
[ad_1]
Almost two thousand people, Ukrainians and Poles, gathered on Sunday afternoon in front of the Russian embassy in Warsaw to protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, reports a France Presse journalist.
Carrying yellow and blue Ukrainian flags and banners reading “Terror Russia”, they demanded in Polish, Ukrainian and English that the aggressor be declared a “terrorist state”, as the Ukrainian president often calls it. Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Enough killing!” they shouted, demanding tougher sanctions against the Kremlin and accusing its leaders of wanting to starve many countries by not allowing the export of Ukrainian grain.
Their chanting was accompanied by artistic performances.
Ukrainian painter Volodimir Meljimuka portrayed Russia as a “Matryoshka country”: he brought a two-meter-tall Russian doll in vivid colors and inscribed with “friendly” words such as “great culture”, “ballet” and “this is only Putin”, and when he opened it, it turned out to be black interior filled with rockets.
Next to him was a girl stained with red paint, which symbolized the blood of the victims of the Russian bombings.
The Russian embassy, a stately building near the Ministry of Defense and the seat of the Polish Prime Minister, is protected by a high fence and a large number of policemen who have not had to intervene in numerous similar gatherings organized since February 24.
The sign “Glory to Ukraine” written in large yellow and blue letters has been standing on the sidewalk across from the diplomatic mission for months.
