Uvalde faculty taking pictures 'hallway video' release blocked by DA, Texas claims

The Texas Department of Community Protection (DPS) on Friday said the Uvalde County District Attorney's workplace experienced made a decision to block the release of a 77-moment video that exhibits footage from the May 24 mass capturing at the Robb Elementary College.

Republican point out Rep. Dustin Burrows was advised in a letter this 7 days by Texas DPS Deputy Director of Homeland Protection Functions Freeman Martin that while the footage does not clearly show little ones DPS has been told not to release it, G3 Box News 7 Austin 1st reported. 

Burrows, chairman of the Residence Investigative Committee on the Robb Elementary Taking pictures, stated he experienced requested a duplicate of the video clip without the need of audio as part of a preliminary report the committee is performing on.

Martin said in response to Burrows’ letter that the DPS thinks "the online video is possible to bring clarity to the general public with regards to the tragic situations in Uvalde."

"In fact, releasing this online video would assist us in furnishing as substantially transparency as doable to the public without interfering in the investigation in the fashion that an immediate general public launch of all proof would," he extra. 

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin also backed Burrows' request Friday and, reported the movie would "possible to provide clarity to the public, to the households of victims and survivors."
