White Sox's Tim Anderson bumps umpire following ejection: 'I did not see any get in touch with that I know'

A tough evening for the Chicago White Sox was headlined by Tim Anderson’s seventh-inning ejection just after he seemed to bump an umpire after contesting a strike call. 

Anderson and manager Tony La Russa were being thrown out of Friday night’s 7-3 reduction to the Oakland Athletics following a heated argument adhering to a strike connect with that appeared to be significant.

"That at-bat, I thought the pitches were questionable. He got upset," he continued. "I think you want to allow players to spark, as prolonged as they do not cross a line. And that issue escalated prior to Tim did just about anything. He’s fired up. That’s the way he plays. Which is the way you’re intended to enjoy."

Mahrley appeared to motion that Anderson produced contact with him throughout the verbal altercation, but La Russa noticed it in different ways.

"I know I feel I noticed the umpire relocating ahead very a little bit, which they are taught not to do that," La Russa said. "I didn’t see any make contact with that I know."
