49ers’ Kyle Shanahan claims players never have to struggle to be ‘intense’

NFL coaching camps commonly contain a struggle or two as gamers have been waiting around to get back into the pads for months. 

But there’s a line, and the San Francisco 49ers apparently crossed it on Tuesday.

Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan halted observe on Tuesday right after punches had been thrown on two separate occasions. The fights occurred among linebacker Fred Warner and large receiver Brandon Aiyuk, forcing Shanahan to get in touch with a conference in the center of practice.

"I like the intensity of it," Shanahan stated Friday. "I will not feel you have to fight to be extreme, though. Scuffles are scuffles, but then they direct to other stuff. I imagine that is why we've received a man in protocol, for the reason that he took an avoidable shot on someone, which led to the massive struggle, and then we had a bunch of haymakers and stuff thrown in there, which only split arms.

"I feel our team is pretty tough. I feel we are pretty bodily. I think if most possibly voted on who would be the most physical crew on tape last yr, I imagine we would earn most of that and we failed to get in one battle past 12 months. So, I really don't think that absolutely pertains to toughness."

The second altercation concerning Warner and Aiyuk happened right after Warner shipped a late hit on extensive receiver Marcus Johnson, who wound up in the concussion protocol.

"Particularly with Brandon, I selected him out," Warner claimed, according to ESPN. "I believe he is ready to make that up coming phase into playing at an elite degree. I have gotten soon after him a very little little bit... because I know how a great deal he has in him. And I know if I nag him a little bit, he's going to get sick and exhausted of that and begin to hold his own... He's commenced to truly obtain that way of thinking of being aware of he is a guy and he is able. I'm making an attempt to get the ideal out of him. That is it."

On Wednesday, fights through follow impacted a different workforce as New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Trevor Penning and defensive lineman Malcolm Roach have been thrown out of observe for fighting.

"We really don't have time for that… We gotta get our get the job done performed," Saints head mentor Dennis Allen advised reporters after Wednesday's exercise. "We gotta master as a staff how to contend and how to engage in and how to apply and force ourselves to the restrict, but nevertheless, not just take it around the edge."
