Baker Mayfield 'f--- them up' remark adds fuel to fire as Panthers get prepared for 7 days 1 vs Browns

Baker Mayfield seems to be revved up to engage in the Cleveland Browns as the recently christened Carolina Panthers commencing quarterback receives completely ready for the start of the 2022 standard period.

"I’m likely to f--- them up," he explained of the Browns, according to what Frelund shared on the "Around the NFL" podcast.

Frelund, who also will work as an analytics analyst for the NFL Network shared the temporary dialogue she had with Mayfield at Bank of America Stadium.

"I walked up to him and claimed, ‘I’m so enthusiastic to see you, like, go kick some butt,’ I did not say that word," she explained with a chuckle. ... Go kick some butt, specifically 7 days 1, I like cannot wait around. And he takes advantage of some expletives and I was like, ‘I just hope you’re like completely ready.’ He was like, ‘I’m gonna bleep them up.’"

Mayfield will have media availability afterwards in the 7 days, and the remark will probably be one particular of the to start with concerns he faces.

Frelund explained to The G3 Box News she was making an attempt to be supportive of Mayfield and almost certainly shouldn’t have disclosed what she referred to as a non-public conversation.

"I was hoping to defend Baker. He's in a great place now and is primed for achievement. ... I was displaying effusive assistance for a person who experienced a genuinely rough offseason," she explained.

Mayfield talked about the impending matchup very last week just after currently being named starter.
