White House Physician Kevin O'Connor announced in a letter Sunday the president had tested negative for the virus for a second day in a row and would "safely return to public engagement and presidential travel."

Biden initially tested positive for COVID-19 on July 21 and tested negative after several days. However he got a rebound case July 30 and had been testing positive until Saturday. The president continued to work during his isolation.

Biden is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and received his second booster shot in March.
