Bryant Young provides heartfelt Corridor of Fame induction speech about his son

Bryant Young was inducted into the Professional Soccer Hall of Fame on Saturday with a swath of other NFL greats, but his speech was the 1 that stole the present in Canton, Ohio.

Youthful performed for the San Francisco 49ers from 1994 to 2007. He was a a person-time Super Bowl champion, a person-time All-Professional and 4-time Professional Bowler in the course of his occupation.

But his stats and accolades were on the back burner when he stepped up to the podium. Young talked about the tragedy of shedding his 15-year-outdated son, Colby, to pediatric brain cancer in 2016. The psychological tribute led to a standing ovation to these who watched him speak in Canton.

"Colby sensed exactly where factors ended up headed. He did not worry dying as a great deal as the process of dying," Younger reported. "Would it be distressing? Would he be remembered? We confident Colby we’d preserve his memory alive and keep on speaking his name.

"Colby ... you dwell on in our hearts. ... We will normally converse your title."

Young completed his vocation with 89.5 sacks and 627 tackles. He’s the 15th participant to go into the Hall of Fame as a member of the 49ers organization.
