Portland guy accused of hanging law enforcement officer in stolen car is arrested in Idaho

A Portland man accused of putting and severely injuring a law enforcement officer with a stolen vehicle very last thirty day period was arrested this week in northwest Idaho, police reported. 

Jacob Matthew Ray Anderson, 33, was taken into custody on Aug. 2 by Idaho Point out Law enforcement. He is wished on warrants out of four Oregon counties and will be extradited in the coming months. 

On the early morning of July 24, law enforcement were named about a stolen pickup truck in eastern Portland. 

When officers arrived, Anderson allegedly "acquired into the motor vehicle and attempted to flee, putting the officer with the stolen vehicle."

Law enforcement say Anderson then crashed into an additional auto that was occupied by two folks, like an aged woman who experienced to be taken to a hospital.

The police officer was also handled at a nearby medical center for significant, nonlife-threatening accidents. Officers afterwards located the stolen pickup truck, but Anderson was nowhere to be identified.

Portland Law enforcement Chief Chuck Lovell appeared to reference Anderson in a tweet on July 26 when he stated that officers have recently "been shot at, had suspects fight with them, operate above by a car and a further virtually operate in excess of."
