Sheetz to launch ‘Free Gas for a Year’ contest in this state

Sheetz announced it is partnering with the Pennsylvania Lottery to offer a “Free Gas for a Year” contest.

The gas station chain said Tuesday that the winner of the gas contest would win a $5,000 Sheetz gift card, per WJAC.

The contest comes as the average family will spend $120 more per month on gas than they did one year ago, according to the Biden administration.

The national average price of gas continues to fall daily since it hit a record $5.01 on June 14, according to AAA.

To participate, customers at any of Pennsylvania’s 299 Sheetz locations must purchase a minimum $10 Match 6 lottery ticket.

The play ticket will include a trailing ticket with instructions and a promo code for playing. Customers may only enter one time.

The contest will run through Sept. 30, with a grand prize winner selected in October.
