Congo declares finish to Ebola outbreak in eastern province

Democratic Republic of Congo has declared the end of its most current Ebola virus outbreak in the jap province of North Kivu, Health Minister Jean-Jacques Mbungani Mbanda explained in a assertion on Tuesday.

The fifteenth outbreak in the central African region emerged when a new scenario of the fatal virus was verified in the jap metropolis of Beni on Aug. 22.

Congo's dense tropical forests are a natural reservoir for the Ebola virus, which results in fever, body aches, and diarrhoea.

The region has recorded 14 outbreaks since 1976. The 2018-2020 outbreak in the east was Congo's biggest and the next greatest at any time recorded, with just about 3,500 overall cases.
