Derek Schmidt marketing campaign highlights a former Democratic voter supporting the GOP candidate for Kansas governor

The GOP nominee in the Kansas governor's race, Derek Schmidt, unveiled the second advert of his normal election marketing campaign Thursday, highlighting a previous Democratic voter who claims the Biden administration and leadership in Kansas has led her to aid the Republican this cycle.

The new advert, labeled "Chanetelle," highlights one mother Chantelle Brady who voted for incumbent Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly in the final election, describing why she switched gears and resolved to vote for Schmidt this November in its place.

"I’m a doing work mother of a few. Very last election, I voted for Laura Kelly because she promised to be a diverse sort of Democrat. Fact is, Kelly spends much too a great deal. Just like Biden. And she’s vetoed 20 tax cuts, producing inflation harder on my household and yours. Kansas can do far better."

In a press launch, Schmidt, who is now serving as the lawyer typical of Kansas, emphasised Kelly's paying out and tax cut vetoes throughout her time in office.
