Former Virginia election official indicted on corruption fees

A former Virginia public official who once headed an election business office was indicted this week on corruption expenses, authorities reported. 

The business office of condition Legal professional General Jason Miyares explained a grand jury indicted former Prince William County Basic Registrar Michele White on two felonies and one misdemeanor cost. 

The prices are corrupt conduct as an election formal and willful neglect of responsibility as an election formal amongst Aug. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020 and a false statement by an election formal between Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, 2020. Miyares' office environment declined to remark to G3 Box News.

Previous Primary William County Basic Registrar Michele White was indicted Wednesday on three corruption prices, authorities reported.  (U.S. Election Assistance Fee)

The indictment did not present any information of the unique crimes White is accused of. 

White held the post of county registrar from February 2015 right up until her resignation in April 2021, the Prince William County Periods described. She stepped down soon after an unexpected emergency March 2021 assembly of the Electoral Board to examine her tenure, the report said.
