NBA superstar LeBron James, rappers Drake and Long term, and James' small business lover Maverick Carter are reportedly staying sued for $10 million just after allegedly thieving "intellectual house legal rights" to a film about the segregated hockey league for Black players in Canada entitled "Black Ice."
The lawsuit has been served by Billy Hunter, who made use of to lead the NBA Gamers Association, the New York Write-up reports. He's seeking shared profits from the film as very well as the $10 million in damages.
The lawsuit, submitted to Manhattan state Supreme Courtroom, suggests Hunter holds "the exceptional legal rights to create any movie about the Coloured Hockey League that existed from 1895 to the 1930s."

The authors, George and Darril Fosty, are also defendants. Hunter statements that he compensated them $265,000 for the motion picture legal rights, even though the Fostys say that a documentary does not violate Hunter's "special worldwide license," which Hunter suggests he acquired for $250,000.
"A documentary is still a ‘motion picture’ and an ‘audiovisual adaptation’ and any declare to the opposite is absurd and designed in negative faith," the lawsuit browse.
