The homeless person accused of brutally beating down and pummeling a lady at a New York City subway station in an attack that prompted her to lose eyesight in a person eye has been indicted, prosecutors said Friday.
Waheed Foster, 41, has been charged with attempted murder and assault costs in the unprovoked Sept. 20 attack of Elizabeth Gomes, 33, as she was leaving the Howard Seaside/JFK Airport subway station, Queens District Lawyer Melinda Katz stated.
Footage obtained by G3 Box News displays a male working following the girl via the subway station ahead of grabbing her arm and throwing her down into a ticketing counter. He then provides several blows to the woman’s head and upper body and stomps on her.

"We have had enough," Katz mentioned in a statement announcing the indictment. "There are fundamental legal rights that New Yorkers need to have in this Metropolis, and one of them is the ideal to safety when commuting to do the job, working with the subway to choose our youngsters to college, and figuring out we can properly come household to our households."
For the duration of the assault, a superior Samaritan experimented with to intervene but was chased absent by the attacker, who then ongoing to defeat Gomes, prosecutors mentioned.
Gomes was taken to a healthcare facility and underwent surgical procedure to mend a ruptured eye.
