Olympic monitor star Shavez Hart, 29, shot and killed in the Bahamas

Shavez Hart, a Bahamian sprinter who represented the country in the 2016 Olympics, was shot and killed striving to crack up a fight outside the house a Bahamas nightclub. He was 29.

The deadly incident happened in Mount Hope on Saturday at around 2 a.m. regional time when a group of guys obtained into an argument and a single of them went to his auto, grabbed a gun and fired, placing Hart in the upper body, TMZ Sports noted, citing a Royal Bahamas Law enforcement report.

Hart was also a sprinter star for Texas A&M College. He was a 10-time All-American and received a gold medal as a member of the Aggies’ 4x400 relay team at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships.

"This is so tragic. Shavez Hart was of class one of our very best athletes ever, but he was just one of the kindest folks I have fulfilled, and such a tender-spoken gentleman," Texas A&M coach Pat Henry said in a news release.
