Texas Illegal immigrant tries getting weapon away from Texas Nationwide Guardsman, authorities say

A beforehand deported illegal immigrant with a criminal record experimented with having a weapon away from a soldier Tuesday following fleeing at the southern border, officials explained.
Ricardo Jamie-Ruiz, 45, a Mexican citizen, was component of a significant group of migrants that was caught by Border Patrol agents in close proximity to Bentsen Palm Neighborhood Park in Mission, Texas, the Texas Department of General public Security mentioned Wednesday.
The incident started close to 4 a.m. when the migrants had been taken into custody. A Texas Nationwide Guard soldier was helping border brokers when Jamie-Ruiz allegedly fled.

Following issuing verbal commands to end, he allegedly grabbed the soldier's M-4 rifle "with each hands in an endeavor to seize the weapon for himself," authorities said.
"The soldier was in a position to retain possession of his weapon," according to a DPS statement.
Jamie-Ruiz was arrested a brief time later and the Texas Rangers are investigating the incident.
