Michigan assistant coach Mike Hart 'trending in a good direction' right after clinical crisis

Michigan assistant coach Mike Hart is back again in Ann Arbor and "trending in a good path" just after becoming carted off the discipline throughout the initially quarter of Saturday's recreation versus the Indiana Hoosiers, he said in a statement Monday. 

Hart, who returned to Michigan in 2021 as run sport coordinator and running backs mentor, endured a clinical crisis on the sideline right before becoming taken off the industry and transported to Indiana University Hospital.

It was unclear what brought about Hart’s condition, but in accordance to stories at the time, he suffered a seizure.

"I would like to thank everybody for their aid, messages, and prayers," Hart wrote in a statement Monday. "I am actually grateful for the trainers and paramedics, the medical practitioners and nurses at IU Hospital, Michigan’s workforce health professionals, coaching team, gamers and coach Harbaugh. I would also like to thank IU’s football personnel and crew medical doctors. I will by no means ignore everyone’s kindness and generosity."

Hart explained he was "trending in a beneficial course" and extra that he appears forward "to rejoining our group quickly." 

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy reported the Wolverines awarded a match ball to Hart after defeating the Hoosiers, for whom Hart served as a running backs mentor from 2017-2020, 31-10.

"We’ll go on with humble hearts. It is terrific to have the win and continue on to pray for Mike. He’s a powerful man, I have all the faith in the world in Mike Hart," mentor Jim Harbaugh explained following the recreation.

Hart, 36, is the all-time major rusher in Michigan football historical past, where he was a 4-calendar year starter among 2004-2007. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2008, wherever he performed 3 seasons.
