Prepared Parenthood is 'taking abortion care on the road,' will open cell clinic in Illinois

Prepared Parenthood announced that it will get started operating a cell abortion clinic in southern Illinois to cater to sufferers from neighboring states that have banned the course of action. 

A few states that border Illinois – Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee – instituted bans on abortions immediately after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June. 

These bans have led to an influx of girls in search of abortions in nearby Illinois, according to Planned Parenthood. 

The organization's Fairview Heights centre, which is just 20 miles from the Illinois-Missouri border, has seen a 30% spike in patients looking for abortions given that Roe v. Wade was overturned. Appointment wait periods also went up from 4 times to two-and-a-50 percent months, Planned Parenthood suggests.

Prepared Parenthood reported that "having abortion care on the highway will assistance cut down journey distances" and totally free up house at their brick-and-mortar spots.

The new mobile abortion middle will be outfitted with two examination rooms, a lab, and a waiting room in an RV.
